About this site

full text of all documents

This site was conceived, designed, built and maintained by Matthew Slater, a freelance information management professional who has been working for a small NGO in the humanitarian sector for three years.

At the moment, the web site contains the results of a knowledge gathering exercise undertaken at the point of going freelance. It will shortly become a blog.

It is a free service, gathering formal and informal knowledge, to promote coherence in the sector of humanitarian information management.

The more opinionated articles, inlcuding some of the above, are available as a blog - click the orange icon to add the blog to your reader. Subscribe to matslats blog

Matthew Slater is currently consultant to several Geneva based NGOs, helping them to think through and state their web site design requirements, put the job out to tender, and then work with a developer to build the web site. Open source projects are favoured, and extra support is possible for Drupal projects.
